9. SHPE Member Fees
• To be considered an active member through MEP, you
are required to pay both chapter and national fees.
• Deadline for active member payment of $15 due to
Treasurer: October 20th
• After the deadline the fee will increase to $20 and active
membership is not guaranteed.
• National fee will be $10 and that will be payed at
SHPE.org after registering as a member.

17. Outreach Committee
Mission:
My mission is to increase awareness on the STEM fields as well as to
reach out to the future generations that need it most such as high school
students that might not have the resources and/or role models in their lives to
guide them along the way. One of the most important events this semester is
Noche De Ciencias. As you may know, this event will give everyone the
opportunity to become a role model as well as make a difference for those
students that look up to us. I hope to have the support of you all to reach my
desired goals in this position.

Mission:
–To empower the youth in our community to reach their fullest potential.
To expose and educate them through hand-ons and fun STEM based
activities. To promote the leaders of tomorrow and create a
mentor/mentee relationship to which they may develop a support
system outside of family and friends.

• Mission
– My mission as historian this is to promote SHPE events; from
fundraising, academics to outreach through social media. I
hope to be able to capture our greatest moments through
photographs taken by myself or our members. Lastly, to create
the greatest scrapbook SHPE has seen so far, with the help of
everyone!

Mission:
Schedule and plan events that will unify and sustain the chapter. Host
events for members to come enjoy each others company and take a break from
studying. Plan out each event so we make sure each event runs as smoothly
as possible and people enjoy them and have fun.
