A national level quiz competition called "Battle of the Brains" was organized by the Economics and Finance Club at Jaipuria Institute of Management in Jaipur on September 4, 2014. The event saw participation from 76 teams from 30 different institutes. In the preliminary round, 20 direct questions were asked to each team and the top 6 teams progressed to the finals. The final round consisted of different types of rounds like direct questions, visual, audio-visual, and connect rounds. In the end, the team from Laxmi Niwas Mittal Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur was declared the winner.

The Economics and Finance Club at Jaipuria, Jaipur “Number Crunchers” organized a National Level Quiz Competition- “Battle of the Brains” on September 4, 2014. This quiz Competition saw an overwhelming response of 76 teams participating from 30 Institutes.
Dr. Prerna Jain in her welcome address welcomed all the participating teams and Mr. Avinash Maurya, who was the Quiz master. Mr. Avinash Maurya, is the Founder, Jaipur Quiz Club (Jaquizzi). He has also authored the National Bestseller book called 'Biz World - The Complete Business Awareness Guide'. 'Best of Tata Crucible' and 'Company Name Etymologies' are the two very popular e-books that he curated.
Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director Jaipuria, Jaipur emphasized the importance of Quizzing and brought out its relevance. Quizzing makes one more alert, involved and aware. It increases the analytical ability of our minds. The more one participate in quiz programmes, the more one become alert, confident and is able to click and connect.
2. The contest started by briefing out the rules and regulations to all the participants by Mr. Avinash Maurya.
Preliminary round:
The first elimination round consisted of 76 teams contesting for the finals.

Final round:
In the Final round the teams were asked 6 questions per team in the following rounds: Dry rounds- Direct fact based questions
were asked. Visual round- Question relating to a photo
was asked to each team. Audio visual- A sound clip was played and
a question related to it was asked. Connect round- A team has to connect four
to five different clues shown at ones and had to
come up with the right answer. Rapid fire round- 5 questions were asked to
each team
The final round was a little tense as the participants were very nervous but the quiz master kept putting their spirits up.
4. The round finally came to a close with Laxmi Niwas Mittal Institute of Information and Technology, Jaipuras the winner with 75 points. The first runner up was Maharaja College with 65 points, second runners up was again the team from Laxmi Niwas Mittal Institute of Information and Technology, Jaipur with 55 points. The winners were given cash prizes of Rs. 5000/-, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 2000/- respectively as well as trophies and certificate. All the other participants were given certificates.
To bring the programme to a close Prof. Bhawani Singh Rathore thanked all the participants, student co-ordinators, Faculty and staff members for joining us in this quiz contest and making it a great success.
