Jan von Feilitzen Page 2 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE APL, LTD Panama 2014 - 2016 Joined APL’s regional headquarters for Latin America, with domicile in Panama, as Commercial Head, overseeing the commercial management for APL’s Liner Operation in Latin America. Responsible for the geographic management of APL’s Commercial Operations, including the execution of regional sales plans and business development. Provide the required guidance and leadership associated with the Latin America service network and infra structure (agency management).  Implemented in association with a global initiative the deployment of a new commercial structure in Latin America, with clear front line roles, in order to sell better and serve more effectively, supported with improved measurements(KPI’s), standardized throughout the region. Reduced the # of hours of exception handling (waste), by sales representatives from 40% to < 10%, measured in hours.  Directed the tactical execution of business sales plans, by sub-regions in Latin America, associated with enhanced and larger networks with broader market coverage, Asia/US & Latin America, favorably impacting cargo volumes primarily in the Asia trades exponentially.  Realized new initiatives to enhance revenue flows associated with assessorial fee structures; demurrage and detention, amongst others. Surpassed annual targets by 60%, strengthening APL’s competitive advantage in the marketplace.  Improved the performance of APL’s Agency network (nine in total), through the introduction of quarterly evaluations. Focus given to the daily management of accounts receivables (DSO), container inventories, cargo claims handling, sales measures, reduction of waste ($$) and organizational stability amongst others.  Proactively seek to find ways to deliver value and respond quickly to customer needs, through a streamlined way of dealing with the customer and how we best service them. Sponsored the Streamlining of the CS Facing Team in Mexico, by centralizing CS to one location (Mexico City) for exception management and migrating transactional work flows to a Service Administrative Center, located in Costa Rica. This initiative resulted in fixed cost savings (headcount/office lease etc.). The project was completed within set time schedule.  Promote a continuous learning culture by developing others and providing opportunities for challenge and growth. Managed a remote team from Panama. Maintained regular performance reviews, twice per year, which allowed for clarifying expectations and the opportunity to discuss areas of improvement and accomplishments and adjust objectives in accordance with the market environment. APL, LTD Korea 2011 - 2014 Joined APL Korea as Managing Director, overseeing the geographic management responsibility for APL, Ltd. Directed the geographic management of APL’s Liner Operations, including the local policy development, process information and support the business needs across multiple markets and service networks.  Retained APL’s market share and leadership position amongst foreign flag carriers, vis a vis Korean flag carriers, during an unreasonable challenging business environment, evidenced by soft demand and downward pressure on rate levels. Given this situation, achieved a relatively high customer retention, primarily with Korean conglomerate customers and expanded cargo volumes in the Latin America and European Trades, in the 15 – 20 %.  Focused on achieving results with a high standard of quality, delivering significant cost savings initiatives associated with the marine terminal operations of our vessels & land transportation (truck/rail). Several initiatives were rolled out in 2012 and full year 2013, achieved savings of 30% > target. Implemented controls, with quarterly p&l reviews, driving the proper behaviors and support collaboration across functional boundaries.  Streamlined the organization across all functions, promoting an environment to develop new skills and personal growth. This included succession plans for key managers, talent development, linking the development needs to the company business plans. Retention levels > 90%.  Awarded the honorary role as chairman of the Foreign Ship Owner’s Association (AFSRK), which allowed me to further build important relationships with government authorities and industry peers, including the Busan Port Authority, 5th largest port in the world, (measured in Teu capacity).

Jan von Feilitzen Page 3 APL, LTD Mexico City 2006 – 2011 Joined APL Mexico as Managing Director, overseeing the overall strategy and geographic management responsibility for APL Liner and Logistics, Mexico. In 2009, the management responsibilities were re-structured, limited to core activities associated with the Liner Division. Provided guidance and leadership to the company’s subsidiaries and other entities operating in Mexico, (APL Logistics, APL Auto, Vascor and Grupo SLTC (JV).  Expansion phase with resulting increase in capacity and sales figures, > 75%. Successful contract negotiations and expansion of customer base in key sectors, such as the Automotive Industries, Retail, Consumer Electronics and Agriculture industry.  Delivered cost savings initiatives, associated with the re-negotiations of multi-year marine terminal vendors, railroad vendors and anchor trucking companies. Sought important concessions during the down cycle year of 2009, leading to a competitive cost advantage, vis a vis competitor.  Proactively sought to deliver value and respond quickly to customer needs. Oversaw the launch of a new Cargo booking system, which improved the productivity of the CS org and increased the efficiencies in responding to customer inquiries. customer specific scores achieved ratings >90% approval, during post implementation.  Assumed the general management of APL’s Logistics division in Mexico, including warehouse and freight forwarding services, 2006 – 2009. Expanded the customer base, with primarily retail sector customers. The multi-client facility achieved > 85% utilization.  Lead the organization through a severe down cycle, 2008 – 2009, with significant cost cutting measures, 15-20% of G&A, while promoting a continuous learning culture and providing opportunities for new challenges and growth. APL, LTD, Miami, FL 2000 - 2006 Joined APL’s Latin America Regional Headquarters, Miami, FL in the capacity as Trade Manager, within the APL Liner Trade Division. Directed the creation and implementation of the go-to-market strategy to develop profitable business across the Latin America region. APL, LTD, Sao Paulo, Brazil 1998 – 2000 Assigned to the position as APL’s Owner’s Representative (Argentina / Brazil), with base in Sao Paulo, Brazil, within the APL Liner Trade Division. Responsible for overseeing the establishment of APL’s operation on the East Coast of South America, the tactical implementation of the business development and planning.
