2. Jack ma’s childhood
 Jack ma was born on September 10,1964 in China.
 Jack Ma whose Chinese name is Ma Yun .
 Jack Ma parents were traditional Musician-Story teller .

because his Chinese name was too difficult to pronounce .

Alibaba is an e-commerce company started by Jack Ma in the year 1999 .
Alibaba the company began from his apartment .
Initially, Alibaba didn’t had a single penny in investment from outside.
But they later raised $20 Million from SoftBank and another $5 Million from Goldman
Sachs in 1999 .

7. Alibaba’s Rise to Success
With the start of Taobao, Jack Ma took out business from ebay in China .
Jack Ma faced problems because he made decisions without the approval
of company stake holders but was successful in achieving his goals

Alibaba currently has 600 million customers in 240 countries.
With this success, Jack Ma currently has a net-worth of about $27.7
billion.
In september 2014 it was reported alibaba was raising over $25 billion in an initial
public offering (ipo) on the new york stock exchange. Alibaba became one of the
most valuable tech companies in the world

10. Philanthropy & Accomplishment
 Ma announced Alibaba Group would begin in 2010 to earmark 0.3% of
annual revenue to environmental protection, particularly on water and air
quality improvement projects.
 Ma donated to his charitable trust amounted to $2.4 billion .
 In 2004, Ma was chosen by China Central Television and its viewers as
one of the "Top 10 Business Leaders of the Year .
 In 2005, Ma was selected by the World Economic Forum as a "Young
Global Leader.
 In 2010, Ma was selected by Forbes Asia as one of Asia’s Heroes of
Philanthropy for his contribution to disaster relief and poverty .
 In 2014 he was ranked as the 30th most powerful person in the world in
an annual ranking published by Forbes.
 In 2015 he was honored with the Entrepreneur of the Year award at The
Asian Awards.
