Five steps to
coaching:
1. Initiation
Sets ground rules and purpose
2. Observation
Learning strategy for both,
coach observes learner’
actions & learner observes
coach
3. Actions
Practice new skill or
strategy, coach models and
demonstrates selected
parenting technique
4. Reflection
Unique Core:
Incorporates coach’s
questions, feedback and
information to prompt
learning and self- discovery.
(Topics are learner selected)
5. Evaluation
Formative analysis
Review progress and decide what to
do next or end.
