2008-2015 La Costa Canyon High School Foundation Carlsbad, CA
Large high school located 20 miles north of San Diego, CA. Founded in 1996 the mission of the
LCCHS Foundation is to expand opportunities for our students in academics, visual and performing
arts, and athletics through private philanthropic support.
2013-2015 Executive Director
 Provide long-range strategic leadership and day-to-day administration of the LCC Foundation;
 Plan and organize annual fund raising campaigns and events;
 Create fundraising strategies such as planned giving, pledges and gift levels that enhance the
long-term overall health of the foundation;
 Ensure donors are moved through the various giving levels to provide maximum opportunities
and to meet fundraising goals;
 Stewardship of donors;
 Coordinate the distribution of foundation funds through department grants that expand the
educational opportunities and qualities in the classroom and visual and performing arts;
 Oversee the budget process and ensuring fiduciary responsibility;
 Work in close collaboration with Board of Directors, School Principal and teachers to ensure
programs are prioritized and sufficiently funded;

2010-2013 Development Officer/Special Events Coordinator Athletics
 Oversee all Athletic fundraising activities including golf tournament, garage sale and maverick
mile;
 Recruit and train volunteers to adequately identify and evaluate the giving ability of potential
donors and guests support;
 Coordinate event with golf course and vendors to ensure a quality tournament;
 Coordinate the procurement of auction items; develop budget and maintain accurate records;
encourage team donations from all LCC athletic families as well as track donations;

1989-1992 Justice Education Society Vancouver, B.C.
Non-profit organization promoting understanding of, access to, and confidence in the justice

1991-1992 Regional Manager
 Launched a new office in the Fraser Valley Region;
 Provide hands-on educational programs and services to the general public, as well as to youth,
Aboriginals, ethnic and immigrant communities, those with special learning abilities, and other

 Make those working within the justice system (judges, lawyers, sheriffs, and other justice
system personnel) aware of the barriers that certain groups face in accessing our justice
