My PhD in nutritional metabolomics revolved around investigating the effects of intake of different proteins on the LC-MS metabolomics profile of human plasma. I worked on every part of the process from LC-MS analysis, through data processing and statistical analysis to compound identification and biological interpretation. I worked with state-of-the-art tools for computer-assisted compound identification, including: automatic annotation of adducts and fragments, determination of the molecular ion, in silico fragmentation, retention time mapping between analytical systems and de novo retention time prediction.
