Authorization Letter
The Development information Network （DEVNET,
DEVNET/TIPS) is an international technology, economic and
business system created in 1985 while in cooperation with the
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United
Nations Fund for Science and Technology for Development
(UNFSTD), based on the cosigned document “UNFSTD,
PROSECT, INT/83-T01.” It aims at promoting business
exchanges, the transfer of technology and economic cooperation
between developing countries and developed countries. In 1995,
DEVNET has been authorized as Consultant Category 1 of the
Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).
DEVNET hereby authorizes 北京时空艺术设计中心 (hereafter
referred to as “Beijing Spacetime Art & Design Center”) to lead
the 2015 Milan World Expo DEVNET Pavilion's Chinese
art-related exposition.
The Beijing Spacetime Art & Design Center will host DEVNET
pavilion's Chinese art-related exposition at the 2015 Milan World
Expo showcasing a selection from the past hundred years of
creative endeavors by Chinese artists. Running up to this global
event, this outstanding art selection will be exhibited in various
provinces and municipalities across China under the title of
"China Century Greats' Itinerant Retrospective."

This traveling exhibition aims to show the development of artistic
work over an extensive period of time. It shall bring the crowning
moments of Chinese modern art works as well as layout the
developing processes of outstanding Chinese contemporary art
works from within the past hundred years. It also targets to focus
the domestic and international citizens' attention towards Chinese
art works. This promotion will be of public interest and supported
by local governments. The events will aid participating citizens to
zoom in on China, pay attention to Milan and to concentrate on
established values within culture of today.
The Beijing Spacetime Art & Design Center's domestically as
well as internationally handpicked selection committee is
composed of authoritative individuals from within the art-related
fields. Its selection result aims to highlight excellent Chinese art
works domestically and abroad. Thus the collection of art works
shall communicate China's geographical and cultural diversity,
and secondly it shall further push the image of Chinese artistic
and creative industries onto the global stage. With this
retrospective a platform is produced for the global citizens to get a
better insight into China's cultural development as a whole.
Some art works will end up in a permanent collection maintained
by the above-mentioned Center. Outstanding works will be
recommended as collection pieces to renowned museums and
established art galleries.

Beijing Spacetime Art & Design Center is in charge of the
organization of global culture and arts seminars, cultural
cooperation seminars, art exhibitions, art identification, selection,
appraisal, awards, auctions and the likes as well as any such
activities organized by DEVNET.
Beijing Spacetime Art & Design Center is authorized to handle
the preparation of the specific art area in the DEVNET Pavilion of
the 2015 Milan World Expo. Meanwhile, Beijing Spacetime Art
& Design Center will be responsible to coordinate the various
levels of government departments and related organizations.
If any discrepancies between this English translation and the
original Chinese versions of this Authorization Letter were to be
found, the Chinese documents shall prevail and have priority over
the English.
