Our body requires very small quantities of Vitamin B12. The amount is around 2 to 3 micrograms a
day for adults above the age of 14, 2.6 micorgrams a day for pregnant women and 2.8 micrograms
for women who breast feed. Children require even smaller amounts ranging between 0.4
micrograms per day to 1.8 micrograms per day.
