Standard of Practice
Associations establish a Standard of Practice to assure a
consistent level of performance among professionals, and to
develop a minimum level of expectation for consumers.
When a professional Building Inspector follows a recognized
Standard of Practice consumers receive a building inspection and
report that provides them with piece of mind that the property has
been thoroughly examined and includes important information on
the essential systems of the property. Be sure your inspector
follows the highest quality Standard of Practice.
In fact, the California Business and Professions
Code, recommends that a judicial authority use
the Standard of Practice of the California Real
Estate Inspection Association CREIA, as the
duty of care for an inspection.
