Work Experience March of 1974 through December 31, 1993:
Forke Brothers: I was a partner and a member of the senior management committee for a firm
specialized in selling heavy construction equipment at auction throughout the United States and
Canada. The company was sold to an investor group in 1994. I spent an additional two years
with the new company as a Senior Auctioneering Consultant. Prior to selling Forke Brothers, my
duties included supervising four to five auctions a year;
Identified potential sellers
Arranged sales calls
Inventoried the potential seller’s equipment
Prepared and presented proposals
Negotiated terms for a contract
Prepared an advertising budget and campaign
Determined auction staffing needs
Supervised preparation for the auction
Managed line-up of equipment
Prepared a buyer catalog
Called the bid on major equipment during the auctions
Individual auctions ranged in size from $300,000 to $10,000,000.
I was involved in conducting 800-1,000 auctions, totaling in excess of $2,000,000,000.
Other Experience since retiring from Forke Brothers: I continued to attend four to six
auctions a year for a spin-off company which conducted construction machinery auctions. I also
worked part time in a men’s retail clothing store.

two high end clothing stores owned by Hart, Schaffner and Marx. I worked as a sales associate
with the goal of becoming a buyer.
