Summary
I bring over 9 years of experience in residential and commercial asset and project management across a range
of sectors. A highly competent leader of complex minor and major projects and facilities management. I have
well developed strategic and operational skills. I amhighly motivated, outcome focused and open minded. As
a professional I’ve achieved a high standard of customer service and have easily created positive relationships
with staff, internal and external stakeholders and customers.
Overview
I’m currently the Strategic Property Coordinator in Local Government in Victoria. This was a new position that
has included the design, implementation and management of all facets of building asset, leasing and facilities
management. The responsibilities range from acquisition, leasing, renewal, maintenance and disposal. I was
heavily involved in the emergency recovery following fire and flooding in the Shire.
Previously I resided in Western Australia for almost 9 years where I developed a positive reputation in the
residential and commercial construction industry. With nine year’s experience in construction project
management, renovations and commercial fit outs I offer sound contractor management skills and a wealth of
experience both professionally and personally.
For over five years I was responsible for managing the entire staff housing portfolio for Horizon Power (WA
electricity provider). The portfolio was worth over $48M (approx.) and was located in multiple locations in
regional Western Australia. During that time I projected, sourced/justified and managed a capital and
operational budget of over $10M per annum, plus a project budget and works schedule. All budgets came in
under or on target and projects where completed on time. Works included OH & S, renovations, security
upgrades, compliance reviews, acquisitions, disposal, new builds, development, land ballots and more.
I was responsible for initiating and delivering major projects including funding, tenders, contracts, delivery and
review. My modern leadership and communication skills have provided me with the ability to astutely manage
contractors and suppliers and to motivate teams to achieve maximal efficiency while keeping stakeholders
100% appropriately informed.
I’ve purchased and sold 16 properties in the past 3 years, renovated approximately 30 homes and completed 7
commercial fit-outs. I’ve completed 17 courses to further my skills and have an ongoing commitment to
professional and personal development. I’m motivated, passionate and enjoy all parts of the building and
maintenance process.
A high level of organisation, time management and communication is a natural aptitude built throughout my
broad industry experience. I pride myself on my ability asses and minimise risk. Safety is a priority while
maintaining and improving company process and values.
My conflict resolution, construction knowledge and quick problem solving abilities have been invaluable to the
success of the projects. I’m passionate about quality customer service, clearly communicating expectations
and delivering.
