Relevant Coursework
Engineering Communication Fall 2014
● This course covers different strategies used to effectively communicate and exchange ideas within
the engineering community. Topics include technical writing, project planning and proposal writing,
data visualization, system modeling and simulation, engineering graphics and CAD, and effective
uses of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and other software.
Embedded Control Spring 2015
● Basic course in embedded control systems: microcontroller/microprocessor programming, flow charts
making, basic electronic circuit schematics, PW modulation, range sensor and accelerometer, etc.
● Projects: Build, test, debug, identify, troubleshoot and demonstrate the electrical circuit (hardware) and
microcontroller programming (software) of a miniature car and a hovercraft.
● Awarded Myron P. Laughlin Prize for best pre-engineering lab report for that year
Computer Components and Operations Spring 2015
● Design-oriented introduction to computer components and operations.
● Boolean algebra, minimization and synthesis techniques for combinational and sequential logic. Races,
hazards, and asynchronous behavior. Registers, arithmetic logic units, memory structure, buses, and
control units.
