2. My definition of sportsmanship is a player who
plays with fairness, courtesy, respect, and integrity.
3. Owners and coaches need to have the same ethics as the players playing the
game. They need to have sportsmanship to be good at what they do. If coaches
and owners are fair, courteous, and respectful then they have good ethics.
Owners and Coaches set an example of what the players need to do and if the
coach doesnât play with strong ethics then the players wont either.
4. Health and Safety is very important when it comes to the players and the
team as a whole. Health is very important to players both physically and
mentally. After a loss or during a time with a lot of stress players mind
sets could be a determining factor. Safety is important because athlete's
put their bodies on line every time they play a sport. And without rules,
regulations, and medical staff the world of sports could be a lot more
dangerous.
5. Athleteâs and their community is the integrity of sportsmanship. Athlete's have the choice to
have good sportsmanship or not because what they do is a representation of themselves
and their team or whole organization. The community behind the athlete has a lot to say
about that player as well. The community is what provided an environment for that Athlete
to grow and become who he/she is today. With a strong and supporting community the
athlete can become a great one.
6. Fan behavior is a big deal when it comes to game time. If fan behavior is
good and theyâre loud and cheering for their team it could do great
things and push their team to win. If the fan behavior is bad and theyâre
putting the other teamâs players down the it ruins the whole ethics of a
fan section. Fans should be there through good and rough times for the
loyalty of their team not to make fun of the other team.
7. âą In conclusion I believe the future of sports will have a lot more sportsmanship. In
the future players should say good game and shake hands with everyone on the
opposing team. This will add another aspect of respect and will set a good
example for children playing youth sports that look up to professionals. I hope in
the future more sportsmanship rules to be added to all sports so players know
that being non-professional will have its consequences. All and all I believe the
future of sportsmanship to be a bright one.
