2. DYNAMIC EDUCATION
Dynamic education is ever changing. It is recognizing
each individual in the school and inviting them to share
their unique gifts. It is attending to each child's needs,
accepting our differences, and embracing our diversity.
Dynamic education is constantly thinking outside the
box and anticipating the future.
3. CHARACTERISTICS OF DYNAMIC
SCHOOL
Adapt to internal and external change --
Student populations, faculties, and
educational needs change over time
make school-community
development part of their vision --Schools
are intertwined with a larger community
4. CHARACTERISTICS OF DYNAMIC
SCHOOL
Teachers that "buy-in" --Teachers see
themselves as part of a larger enterprise -
"a cause beyond oneself“
Effective professional development --
Involves teacher’s helping plan and
teacher’s delivering the plan
6. Teachers are facilitators
Teachers who adapt the dynamic learning
approach are usually concerned about sharing
the responsibility of the educational process
between the teacher and the student.
Educators and students must communicate
out-of-the-box ideas.
7. Students create their own learning
Students learn how to think,
observe, and reflect. As for the
content, it simply changes every
day.
8. Strenghts of traditional school
Gives a teacher an opportunity to learn about
students’ psychology, try new techniques, and
listen to feedbacks.
Everyone is learning from each other.
Training students to become self determined
learners.
Embraces constant change and individuality.
9. Weaknesses of Dynamic School
some students are not working in their
activity
minimize the chance of participation
communicative competence also
diminished
10. Dynamic Learning
Dynamic learning is learning characterized by
constant change, activity, and progress. This is where
learning lives, grows, connects, and extends beyond
the boundaries of the class day, beyond the physical
location, beyond using tools as digital substitutes,
and even beyond due dates; supporting critical
thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity
skills.
11. Education as a Dynamic Process:
As a dynamic process education develops
the child according to changing situation
and times. It is not static and changes in
tune with currents of time.
12. Traditional Schools
Traditional schools are schools just like
the one you or most of your friends
probably attended. They're
public schools, divided into grades and
governed by school districts.
These schools are where the majority of
children get their primary and secondary
education.
13. Characteristics of a Traditional school
1) It is completely effective, i.e. the
child learns all he/she needs to know
to become a functioning adult;
2) Although the education involves harsh
trials and ordeals, every child who
survives them is allowed to
“graduate”;
14. Characteristics of a Traditional school
3) The cost of education (e.g.
paying masters and religious
leaders) is not prohibitive; and
4) Children are not totally
withdrawn from the work force.
16. Teachers feed the informations to
students
Teachers are the instruments by which
this knowledge is communicated and
these standards of behaviour are
enforced.
A traditional view of the teacher's
role is as a giver of knowledge
17. Students obey the rules
As beneficiaries of this plan, which
educational progressivist John
Dewey described as being "imposed from
above and from outside", the students are
expected to docilely and obediently receive
and believe these fixed answers.
Students that did not learn quickly enough
failed, rather than being allowed to succeed
at their natural speeds.
18. Strenghts of Traditional school
Big part of education is the forming of
students and their personalities. Traditional
education has a fixed timetable which
students have to respect.
This is a way to establish responsibility and
prepare for students for future situations
where they will need to show responsibility.
19. Weaknesses of Traditional school
In traditional education, student’s life in
evolving around class attendance.
Student’s need to get up at a certain
time and organize their daily lives
according to their school timetable.
This leaves less time for pursing other
activities.
20. Weaknesses of Traditional school
One of the main problems of traditional
education is the lack of student motivation.
Most of the time, students feel that the
education system is not giving them a
chance to express their skills and interests.
School is more of an obligation than
something to look forward to.
