which appears in variants such as Tamerlane chess (derived from Chaturanga).
Though, in terms of value, it is marginally ahead of the Pawn, and about half as
powerful as the Knight, 3 ‘W’s and a King can force checkmate on a bare King.
Usually following the trajectory of the Rook (but only one square at a time),
identify this chessboard piece which is represented by an inverted Rook.

Born in the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, ‘X’ was a former officer and
fighter pilot associated with the Soviet Air Force. After the collapse of the Soviet
Union, she (‘X’) became a member of the crime syndicate Janus, led by renegade
MI6 agent Alec Trevelyan.
It has been suggested that the character (‘X’) "personifies the hyper sexualized
archetype of the post-Soviet Russian woman” and, is a “direct throwback to the
earlier style of Bond girl, complete with an innuendo-laden name and a blatant
sexuality.”
