This was a ppt created for one of my college courses that was towards the grade level I was currently teaching. I decided to do it on Newton which is a scientist we study for 5th grade. We had to upload to a Web 2.0 technology called Voice Thread.

*Then all of a sudden it
hit him and this idea
became known as
Gravity!
*Gravity causes the
Earth & the apple to be
attracted to one
another.
3. Gravity: the force that pulls all
objects in the universe toward one
another.

4. 1st Law of Motion:
an object at rest will remain at rest, and an object in
motion will continue moving in a straight line at a constant
speed until an outside force acts on it.
5. 2nd Law of Motion:
an object’s acceleration depends on the size
and the direction of the force acting on it and
the mass of the object.
6. 3 rd Law of motion:
for every reaction, there is an equal and
opposite reaction.
Newton sat under an apple tree one day exploring his new ideas about force and motion. Newton stated that that a force called gravity caused the Earth and the apple to attract each other.
For example, the Sun’s gravity keeps all the planets in orbit. Also, the Sun’s gravity keeps the Earth in orbit, as the Earth keeps the moon orbiting around it.
A marble will remain at rest unless an outside force acts on it- boy. An train in motion will until an outside force acts on it- brakes.
The more force the batter uses, the faster the ball accelerates. Race car drivers put in powerful engines to give it more force.
The rocket exerts fuel and force to launch but at the same time, Earth’s gravity is pulling it down. The water exerts an equal force but in the opposite direction-pushing the boat forward.
