With a sales team encompassing 30,000 sales
representatives selling over 150 product lines to
customers in 178 countries, HP came to Anaplan to
improve the effectiveness of their territory and quota
planning process.
HP’s disconnected, Excel-based planning process
made it impossible to effectively collaborate across its
4,000 sales managers and more than 380 sales plans.
The company had limited visibility into its worldwide quota
deployment, and the territory and quota planning process
took 10 months. With Anaplan, HP now has a single, living
plan with role-based visibility and controls, including global
collaboration and advanced sales history analytics to
provide data-driven account and territory opportunity
assessment. Now sales managers can provide consolidated,
consistent bottom-up input to plans and monitor deployed
plans with real-time KPIs.

Aviva plc is a British multinational insurance company head-
quartered in London. It provides insurance, pensions, savings,
and investment products to 30 million customers around the
globe. Aligning and optimizing financial plans and forecasts
in an increasingly fast-moving environment is a complex
process that requires a high degree of accuracy and agility.
Aviva’s financial reporting tools lacked the agility necessary
in planning and forecasting to build scenarios quickly and
deal with multiple versions. So Aviva turned to Anaplan.
Aviva needed to increase planning agility without
compromising financial control. They wanted to focus efforts
on valued-added analysis, not the rather ugly process of
consolidating group plans using multiple Excel spreadsheets.
With Anaplan, Aviva gained a single data source for
financial planning across all of its businesses. The cloud-
based platform enabled rapid roll-out across all groups.
Now planners can build scenarios quickly, manage multiple
versions, and create customized reporting hierarchies.
Aviva completed the Anaplan implementation in two
months and rapidly scaled up to 180 users enterprise-
wide. Time to consolidate plan numbers was reduced from
one week to one day. The cloud-based process connects
business units in real time, enabling a faster, more efficient,
more accurate, more collaborative planning process.
Bosal is a tier-one supplier in the automotive market
with branches in South America, North America, China,
Europe, and South Africa. Bosal’s strategic initiative to
manage their aftermarket business more globally was
hampered by the fact that each country operated its own
local ERP system, making it difficult to get a global overview
of supply and demand. Bosal selected Anaplan to provide a
global solution linking sales teams and manufacturing plants
to one set of data. Anaplan has vastly improved Bosal’s
ability to fine-tune factory load and capacity requirements
in response to changes in demand.
Because Bosal relied on local systems with different
ERPs, there was no way to attain a global view. Sales and
manufacturing groups made disconnected forecasts, and
it was impossible to execute a professional S&OP process.
Today Anaplan provides Bosal with a single data source
for S&OP and demand planning worldwide. After a rapid
implementation and rollout to Europe and beyond, the
company now has a fully functioning S&OP process. Sales
teams are clearly responsible for updating their forecasts,
and operations can plan manufacturing capacity based
on the business forecast.

with $4.5 billion in annual revenue and 7,000 employees
worldwide. As a global retail organization, one of the most
critical functions at Activision is cross-departmental trade
