account.
▪ For the young British institution, the health crisis is acting as a
catalyst.
▪ Metro saw an explosion in demand for state-guaranteed loans,
due to the coronavirus crisis.
▪ Its online underwriting services have come under considerable
pressure in recent months.
▪ In response, the company has implemented a simplified path for
getting in touch, which was tested in August and is now
widespread.

• Since the end of August, the Jupiler Pro League goals will be
broadcasted on the mobile application of KBC and CBC.
• Jupiler Pro League goals, match highlights and
summaries will be broadcast on KBC Mobile over the
next 5 seasons.
• The bancassurer has also acquired the non-exclusive rights to
the online game summaries.
• This new service is called "Goal Alert".
• The amount of the agreement remains confidential

• Until the end of November, Goal Alert is offered free of

• KBC continues to advance its "Beyond
insurance"/"Service Ecosystem" strategy. It
should be noted that other players, such as Belfius,
have also been following the same strategy for some
time.
• The goal is to offer a maximum of services without
forcing the user to download a multitude of
applications.
• Since December 2019, KBC has opened its mobile
application KBC Mobile to non-customers.
• More than 1.5 million KBC Mobile customers now use
their banking and insurance services. More than
250,000 of them use non-banking services.
• Non-banking services have been used more
than 2,700,000 times since their launch, according
to KBC.

• The idea of attacking the GAFAs on their own domain may seem absurd, but
this is what the Russian bank, SberBank, is undertaking to do.
• Sberbank chooses to change its business, becoming a supplier
technological products.
• Sberbank is one the largest bank in eastern Europe with a market
capitalization above 50 billion euros.
• Sberbank changed its logo and name to simply "Sber".
