STEP 2: THIS IS MY SCHOOL
Name: IES SAN JOSE. Cortegana, Huelva. Spain.
It is a Secundary School in Cortegana. Huelva
The staff are fifty five teachers.
The subjects that they teach are from the Oficial Curriculum in Andalucia.

The pupils are about five hundred pupils.
The group of pupils are organized in two or three groups per level.
The students with special needs are arranged after age, if it is possible the
arranged after special needs, mental dificulties,...
Each group have from twenty to thirty students.
We have differents proyects in our school.
They are about: Evaluation, Training teachers, Sports in the school, Use of the
Library... another programmes for the young people..ect.
My class:
I have twelve pupils in my class, They are between 12-16.
They have difficulties from mental desabilities, from Down Sindrom...

We teach in my class, Spanish Language, Mathematics, English language, ITC
and several and specific themes.
Another teacher teach: Science, History, Music, Art, Fisica Education...

Orientation Department
We have meetings with the teachers from my department, with another
teachers, with the pupils, with the families, in this room.
The family-professional relationships are very important in special education.

The future of the students after they finish
Secundary School.
They go to differents centres, some of them go to the Special Association about
differents disabilities. They are families supports and servicies in adult age. We
want them to get quality of live.
Sometimes, they are preparated for a specific job in those associations.
Some of them go to the special professional education to the working live.
They learn all necesary for a job.
Adolescents and adult people, with mental disbilities, Down Syndrome... are
trained to the independent live. Iit is very important the families and
professionals realationship to get it.
