Infineon´s ixMR technology is fast and
robust against Mechanical Tolerances

misalignment

The ixMR element senses a field’s direction, not
intensity. Variations in field intensity within the sensor’s
range therefore have minimal impact on angle accuracy

The area sensitive to ixMR is very small. Therefore it is
easier to keep it within the homogenous zone of the
magnetic field in case of small mechanical failure.

Nonius Principle measure more
accurately than could be done by
reading a uniformly-divided straight or
circular measurement scale. For
Infineon, this principle allows to
measure the steering angle over
several turns and provides some
redundancy for safety purposes

  • 4. Infineon´s ixMR technology is fast and robust against Mechanical Tolerances Improved tolerance to misalignment High speed 2013-06-26 The ixMR element senses a field’s direction, not intensity. Variations in field intensity within the sensor’s range therefore have minimal impact on angle accuracy The area sensitive to ixMR is very small. Therefore it is easier to keep it within the homogenous zone of the magnetic field in case of small mechanical failure.   • 7. Angle Sensor for Automotive Applications Steering Angle Nonius Principle measure more accurately than could be done by reading a uniformly-divided straight or circular measurement scale.
