 “A woman is the full circle. Within her is
the power to create, nurture and
transform.“
 Today women with their smartness, grace
and elegance have conquered the whole
world.
 Since the older times, women have been
treated as second rate citizens of all
across the globe.
 The situation is almost the same
everywhere-irrespective of the developed
country or the developing country-caste,
community, color or creed a position
which is comparable in many ways.
 Women form 48% of India’s population
but constitute only 29% of the national
workforce.
ISSUES
violence crime status women rights women education
Now a days the women are looked by the
glamour or by sex objects rather then sharing
the equality of their work
India is ranked 4th among the most
dangerous countries for women.
For this reasons India is becoming one of
the governments major rule.
"We should end all acts of violence against
women and initiate all steps so that women
feel safe and become fearless, empowered
and they are given the respect," Gandhi said.
Latest data from the National Crime Record
Bureau suggests that a woman is raped once
in 20 minutes and 10% of all crimes in India
are of women abuse.
Gender discrimination is the least of worries
for women in India.
The principle of gender equality is enshrined in
the Indian Constitution in its Preamble,
Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties and
Directive Principle.
 Women are forced to get married at a tender age.
 They are expected to fend for themselves while
taking charge of the domestic chore .
 They become malnourished since they are always
expected to serve themselves last, after every
member of household has received their potion .
 They suffer from unfair and biased inheritance and
divorce laws.
 Women are not able to accumulate any substantial
amount of asset, making it pretty difficult for them
to establish their own financial security.
 The National Crime Record Bureau recorded
24,206 case of rape in 2011 alone, which indicated
a rise of 9% from the previous year.
 It’s a fact that many rape incidences go unreported,
and that’s according to legal experts in the country.
Due to what is called ”family honor”.
 BRIDE BURNING:
 This is a type of domestic violence whereby a bride
is killed by her husband or husband’s family
because of dowry dissatisfaction issues.
 Illiteracy levels in India continue to stand at
about 54% for women and 76% for men,
school enrollment, attendance and quality of
education, especially for the girl-child
threatens.
 Illiteracy is one of the main obstacles in
women empowerment in India.
 Even in this contemporary world women
suffers from illiteracy from the villages
especially, where women are treated only for
house hold purpose and others
misdisciplinaries.
 Most often educating a women is considered as
a big problem for the parents as because if a
women is educated then it is hard for their
parents to get her married.
 The problems today women facing can be
overcomed if a women is enough able to face
the problem which can happen if a women is
well educated.
 Only men are given higher priority than women
in India.
