“VERILY, WHEN THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT COMES, WE SHALL NOT BE ASKED WHAT WE HAVE
READ ,BUT WHAT WE HAVE DONE.”
THOMAS A’ KEMPIS
IN INDIA, 95.5% CHILDREN TAKE ADMISSION IN PRIMARY SCHOOL UNDER SARVA SHIKSHA
ABHIYAN, BUT 50 -60 % OF IT DROPS OUT BEFORE COMPLETING THE ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
Present Storyline of the INDIAN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
• Weak base of the students in education prospect.
• India is lagging behind in terms of primary
education.
• Unemployment
• Slow increment in literacy rates.
• Inappropriate basic knowledge.
Therefore, India’s future element (primary students) are in
darkness.
Primary education should be given preference because:
 It is the base of every educated individuals.
 Literacy is the important factor in development of any country.
 Illiteracy is the evil of every social ,political, economical problems.
10 crores children in INDIA are two or more years below their
grade level
• Stale and bad infrastructure
• Lack of teachers
• Work load on teacher (other than teaching)
• Orthodox mentality
• Bad management
• Immature , Insincere , Irresponsible teachers
• Lack of interest
• Low exposure
• Unhealthy relationship between students and teachers
• Violation of implemented government policies
• Child labour
Proposed
innovative
solution
Fast track solution
Sustainable solution
• Centralized syllabus.
• Reduce work load on teacher.
• Appointment of non-teaching
staff for quality management.
• Promote children to participate
in competitions.
• Computerization for other
administration works:
 Attendance
 Accountancy
 Maintaining registers
• Frequent variation on syllabus
should be stopped.
• Strict and immediate
implementations of policies.
• Fix time table on district level.
• Appointing flying squads in
three levels i.e. District, State &
Central level.
Establishment of hard body finishing and training institute which
resembles the standard of IITs and IIMs which can produce highly
matured, responsible and sensible teachers.
SNAPSHOTS OF THE MERITS OF :
FAST TRACK SOLUTION
• Monitoring of regular attendance of teachers and students
will become easy.
• Education level will become equal.
• Exposure for students
• Manipulation & Modification of past and present data can be
restricted.
• Modernization.
• Effective monitoring mechanisms will established.
SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION.
• Quality teachers will increase.
• Teachers will be wrapped with maturity , act of responsibility,
sincerity , sensibility .
• Unemployment will reduce to some extent
Thus, the quality of primary
education will be raised.
As we know, any grown up
individual attain the
knowledge to teach the
primary classes from I-V
By introducing such
institutes, will give
opportunity to unemployed
graduate individual to relish a
guaranteed government job.
But …..
….provided when they pass
out from institute after
training it would be
compulsory for them to teach
in primary schools.
Promotion will be awarded
based on their performances.
Description of sustainable solution i.e.
FINISHING & TRAINING INSTITUTION FOR TEACHERS
Salient features:
 Hard body like IITs & IIMs in every
prospect.
 Well defined training procedure
 High quality trainers for trainees
 Will play a major role during the policy
formation for regarding primary
education.
 High level training for primary teachers
imposing maturity , sincerity,
responsibility.
 Will also offer some Standard educational
programs like B.Ed. , D.Ed. etc.
 Will ensure a government teaching job to
every volunteer (unemployed) it train.
 Will also give standard training to existing
primary teachers.
Thus this institute results in production
of quality teachers.
We know , INDIAN
government gives so
much preference to
defence sector , Likewise
they should give equal
importance to teaching
sector also preferably
primary education.
Because, if defence
protects India & its future
, then teachers construct
elements of INDIA’s
bright future.

 Finance dept.
 Technical dept.
 Recruitment dept.
 Co-ordination dept.
 Media &
advertisement dept.
 Co-curriculum dept.
FOR EXISTING TEACHERS
TOTAL FUNDING (CAPITAL) REQUIRED FOR:
 Organizational Capital.
 Logistic Capital.
 Technological Capital.
The institute training or teachers is visualized
as 80% funding from the govt. And the rest
20% from the fee taken from the training.
THE FUNDING POLICY
 An annual allocation of plan and non-plan
funds as per the funding policy the ministry
decides upon.
 Over the above point each of the institute
may be given an allocation of Rs. 20 crores
each year for next five years for improving
upon their teaching laboratories,
workshops and the associated
infrastructure .
 Additional grants have to be made available
 For research enhancement and for meeting
the institute requirement.
STANDARD TO MEASURE THE IMPACT OF
THE SOLUTION:
 Comparison of the result between the
primary school controlled by the
teachers trained in the institute and
the primary school controlled by
untrained teachers from the institute.
 Attendance of teachers and students .
 On the basis of the number of appliers
for the training institute which will
determine the attraction towards
education sector.
IMPLEMENTATION CHALLENGES:
 Difficulty in integrating with govt.
infrastructure and institution.
 Making education and teaching
sector attractive is a tough task
(efforts needed).
 Persuading state govt. and
parliament members is very
difficult.
 High capital is required.

  • 6. Description of sustainable solution i.e. FINISHING & TRAINING INSTITUTION FOR TEACHERS Salient features:  Hard body like IITs & IIMs in every prospect.  Well defined training procedure  High quality trainers for trainees  Will play a major role during the policy formation for regarding primary education.  High level training for primary teachers imposing maturity , sincerity, responsibility.  Will also offer some Standard educational programs like B.Ed. , D.Ed. etc.  Will ensure a government teaching job to every volunteer (unemployed) it train.  Will also give standard training to existing primary teachers. Thus this institute results in production of quality teachers. We know , INDIAN government gives so much preference to defence sector , Likewise they should give equal importance to teaching sector also preferably primary education. Because, if defence protects India & its future , then teachers construct elements of INDIA’s bright future.
