2. • According to an economic survey, despite India having better scientific
research institute , R&D and innovation capabilities are lower than other
countries.
• India is among the top ten researchers in science based on the quantity.
scientific research in India has grown by 14.3% and china by 22.8%.
• With a 1 billion+ population ,this may not sound very impressive. If we
consider on per-capita basis, India’s scientific research-rank slips to far below
than what is ranked by this research based on the total.
3. • Percentage of GDP of India is lower in comparison with other countries.
• Lack of Interface between the research departments like DRDO,CSIR etc.
and students who are keen to work in research and development fields.
• Job and financial security is of utmost importance for
general public.
• Spoon feeding habit of both teachers and mentors. No research
environment is there due to loopholes in the educational system.
4. • First of all ,Government will make a team of scientists and professors
who are specialized in their respective domains .
• Proje ts o I dia’s persisti g pro le s should e ha ded to the a d
under their guidance the interested people or students can work.
• Government will advertise their valuable mass project throughout the
nation through electronic and print media as to gather more and more
interested people who could work together ,thus providing a small
platform to develop human race in each field.
• Each team of every field will divide India into different zones and
conduct workshops and awareness programs of their field of study .
5. • Each project head will select students from the group of people who are
interested based on a selection criteria . Thus the professors will have
their own teams which will work on their projects under their guidance .
• Government will then allocate each project a certain amount of budget
based on the kind and nature of research .
• Each team will then prepare an innovative model which will be presented
to different R&D organizations .
• R&D organizations will then review each project and suggest government
for implementation and budget allocation of feasible projects .
6. • First of all, students who are related with these projects could get
internships ,junior research fellowships[JRFs] under their project heads.
They could also get recommendation letter to work in research
institutions in India and abroad.
• Students could present research papers in different conferences after
getting so much experience in their field and strengthen their position.
• Secondly ,due to awareness programs and workshops , general population
will know more about research and innovation and their advantages.
• By opting research as their career ,students can promote research work in
the larger domain of our society and can inspire other individuals to do
research work and thus creating a research environment.
7. • This program would eliminate the fear of job insecurity from the minds of
students and most importantly, their parents.
• The above measures will not only develop more skilled brains in India
rather it will let them work together for betterment and development of
our country as a whole.
8. • First of all parents would be hesitant to send their children to work on the
research projects as it can take a long time which could hamper their
wards academic performance.
• Secondly , major challenge for the government is to provide sufficient
funds to the various teams for their innovative model implementation.
• The means to mitigate these challenges –
The government should pass a bill or introduce a scheme for providing
adequate funds for research projects.
The government could also appeal to various private institutions or
companies to invest on these projects
The government should conduct workshops for parents and guide them
with the help of selected professors and counselors.
