Join In -- Community Canvas to Transform Midland’s Downtown Area,
Brings Community, Creative Individuals Together.
(Midland, Michigan – September 16) – Opportunity Analysts, LLC is teaming up
with the Midland community to create Community Canvas, a FREE, multi-
faceted, family-friendly celebration of Midland’s artistic, musical, theatrical, and
scientific diversity. Community Canvas will take place from 1 to 10 p.m., Saturday
October 2 near the Farmer’s Market, at the foot of Ashman Street in Midland.
The event is aimed to bring the community together by transforming downtown
Midland into a canvas where talented individuals can share their skills to
energize community members and celebrate diversity throughout the day.
Don’t miss the diverse array of attractions, including:
• LOCAL ARTISTS -- An exhibition of works by talented local artists (with
works available for sale).
• LIVE MUSIC -- Music courtesy of local musicians.
• DO-IT-YOURSELF ART -- Transformation of the area via a “clakflood” of art
on sidewalks and parking lots. A great chance to express yourself through
sidewalk chalk art. All skill levels welcome!
• FUN SCIENCE DEMOS -- Creative, interactive scientific exhibits by local
scientists.
• DANCING IN THE STREETS --Hourly dance lessons.
• FREE PERFORMANCES -- Performances by local dance/improv clubs.
