4. This test is done automatically when the Class I or Class II buttons are
pressed to make sure that the power switch on the appliance is in the ON
position. This is handy if you have forgotten to switch the appliance ON.
If the power switch is in the ON position the LED illuminates.

5. When the Class I button is pressed this test will be
carried out and the results will be displayed using
illuminated lights for the Insulation Resistance and Earth
Continuity tests as well as an overall Pass or Fail. The
image below shows the result of a test that shows a pass.
The results show Earth Continuity PASS and
Insulation Resistance PASS.
It also shows an overall test result of PASS

6. When the Class II button is pressed this test is carried out and
the results will be displayed using illuminated lights for the
Insulation Resistance tests as well as an overall Pass or Fail.

7. When the Power Cord button is pressed this test is carried out and the
results will be displayed using illuminated lights for the Earth Continuity,
Insulation Resistance and wiring tests as well as an overall Pass or Fail.
The image below shows the result of a test that shows a pass.
The results show Earth Continuity PASS using the default 1
meter length.

It also shows an overall test result of PASS

8. The Power Cord button is used for this test. The results will be displayed
using illuminated lights for the Earth Continuity, Insulation Resistance
and Polarity as well as an overall Pass or Fail. The image below shows the
result of a test on a 15 metre long mains extensions lead that shows a
fail.
The results show Earth Continuity FAIL
using the default 1 meter length.

It also shows an overall test result of FAIL

9. Lead length can be adjusted as shown by pressing Lead Range Button
Default is 1-9 metres
(No LED illuminated).
After 1 press the LED illuminates
indicating lead length of 10-24 metres
After 2 presses the LED illuminates
indicating lead length of 25-40 metres
