A member of the Property Services Management team. Involved in the design and implementation of standards
for Severn Trent workplace solutions, including furniture, technology and a detailed storage reduction
programme, a variety of workspace environments and behavioural change activity. Workplace change
included, developing new ways of working model and gaining executive sponsorship, identification of key
stakeholders, creating a spectrum of communications to assist staff with the workplace model being launched.
Delivery of change management sessions with all in scope staff. Recognition for the Coventry project included:
Winner of RICS Environmental award 2011; Winner BCO Midlands Corporate Workplace award 2011.
Lead initial review of teams and individuals in/out of scope for new office solution to aid in the development of
appropriate building design. Including headcounts, locations, potential locations and initial work styles
assessments with senior managers.
Co-ordinated third party delivery of change programmes at regional offices ensuring over 700 staff were fully
engaged with new ways of working.
Working with business unit senior managers to ensure property requirements match business need. Gathering
requirements and challenging to ensure needs are clearly identified.
Workplace Manager (July 2005 – September 2007)
Developed and implemented the first set of workplace principles for Severn Trent Water introducing shared
workstations to a team of 150 engineers together with a document management approach, centralised print and
resource hubs and flexible work areas to support the occupants work styles.
Managed the delivery of communications to all stakeholders and developed a change management programme
of activity including business champions, reference site visits and piloting of solutions in the existing
workspace. The completion of space utilisation and staff surveys assisted in the development of the workplace
solutions and in the tailoring of the change management engagement.
Co-ordinated team space allocations and moves management for all teams involved including seating plans,
storage allocations and moves process. Upon completion of all moves completed a post occupancy survey
which indicated an improvement in satisfaction levels with office environment and facilities and productivity
opportunities.
Latterly, involved in the development of the business case options for the replacement of the head office
building and other central Midlands offices.
Quality Facilitator (January 1999 - July 2005)
A member of the Quality Facilitation team introducing business improvement techniques through facilitation
of management and project teams and delivery of training programmes.
Facilitated various process reviews identifying revised processes through process mapping workshops on
various projects to improve process efficiency and effectiveness. E.g. A review of sales processes to improve
data integrity and accuracy of sales forecasts.
Co-ordinated and facilitated a number of problem solving workshops including the review of a chemical
supplier contracts resulting in the delivery of a single supplier solution realising over £1m of savings.
Chair of the BQF Midlands Networking Group promoting the Business Excellence Model to industry and
commerce within the Midlands region. This included organising and delivering committee meetings and a
programme of activity designed to assist local businesses in improving their business performance.

Planning, implementation, maintenance and development of all aspects of the company’s ISO 9002
