An employee with Whole Foods in Rhode Island, Ian Chinich holds a master’s degree in political science from Boston University. He also pursued degrees in philosophy and political science at Rutgers University and has a longstanding interest in history. Among Ian Chinich’s favorite books are works of fiction set in historical eras, such as Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace and Voltaire’s Candide. During his time at university, Mr. Chinich completed a three month study-abroad program in Croatia that encompassed NGO management and conflict resolution. He had the opportunity to visit Montreal in 2012 and witness thousands of students engaged in a student strike.
