Internship Opportunity
My name is Elina Godwin, a third-year undergraduate at the University of XXXXX, studying Personnel
Management. Iâve always had a passion for people management, and my academic learning at XXXXX has
facilitated this, and I am now dedicated towards this career path.
Golden Berries PLC has a heritage and a reputation for being committed to its customers and developing
relationships with them, something that I think is essential for any company in the business and management
consulting sector. I was impressed to learn that one in three people have a relationship with Golden Berries PLC
as it shows how well trusted they are. I was also more than impressed to learn that in 2017 Golden Berries PLC
gave N56 million to good causes. I believe that giving back to the community is essential for any company. The
fact that your employees are encouraged and able to volunteer makes me so motivate to work for this company
as volunteering is very important to me and accolades such as âOne-on-One with our Community Awardâ excite
me as a possible future challenge. I want to be a part of this organisation because it is fast-moving, customer-
orientated and is aware of its responsibility toward the community and the environment.
I have an innate business sense, I always think in business terms and find myself constantly analysing and
problem-solving. I think this is an attribute that is very relevant to Golden Berries PLC because in the consulting
sector there is no room for mistakes and customers want to know that theyâre getting the best service.
In my current job, I find myself looking at the way in which my managers deal with employees, from recruitment
to reward, and find it fascinating to compare it to old employees and suggest to managers other ways of doing
things. I believe good customer service starts with a satisfied workforce as they are the ones promoting your
company.
From my CV, you can see I have done a lot of volunteering, which put me into positions of responsibility, and
this has given me excellent leadership skills. I also feel confident in completing and undertaking projects due to
my current internship at the Cancer Nigeria in which I am project-managing a research task about their services
in Ikeja and Epe. This is something I have found challenging and rewarding but definitely exciting.
This long-vacation internship is an amazing opportunity for me to develop my skills to learn more about an
industry and job role that I am so passionate about. This internship is a challenge I would love to take on
