International Kids Camp Programs
INTERNATIONAL KIDS CAMP is offered weekly at The International School of Minnesota (ISM) from June 20 through
August 12 for children ages 3-1/2 through those entering sixth grade. This camp is open to the public.

                                           Around-the-World Fun
Experience the "flavor" of different cultures around the world as we wind our imaginary way through a variety of
Portuguese, German, Dakota, and Chinese speaking communities. Explore each culture’s unique food, sports,
songs, games, crafts, literature, and customs. With energetic camp counselors and weekly “specialists in residence”
as tour guides, we’ll spread our wings and fly off to faraway adventures. Kids Camp is guaranteed to be your
passport to a fun-filled summer with friends.

The Explorers (Age 3½ - Entering 1st Grade)
Full-day or AM only
The Explorers program is for our youngest campers, accepting
children who are three years old by January 1, 2011, through
those entering 1st grade in fall 2011. All campers must be fully
toilet trained. Each week is a fun-filled learning adventure that
includes swimming time on campus in ISM’s lap-size swimming
pool and at the beach, language labs with specialists, cooking
classes, nature hikes and story time. The children are encouraged
to develop a sense of wonder through exploration of nature,
creativity, and hands-on discovery. The Explorers program offers a
mix of summer fun and learning that provides campers with a truly
well-rounded experience.

The Pioneers (Entering 2nd - 6th Grade)
Full-day or AM only
The Pioneers program accepts children who are entering 2 nd
through 6th grades. In addition to language labs, the program
offers arts & crafts, cooking classes, swimming sessions, beach day
every Friday, canoeing, and exploration of ISM's wooded lakefront
campus. Pioneers camp is a highly active camp with a variety of
activities and games throughout the week to challenge campers to
try new experiences and make new friends. The focus of Pioneers
is a hands-on, adventurous approach to camp experiences
specifically geared to each age level. Explorers and Pioneers Camp Needs
