Many accidents and even fatalities are caused by earth-moving machinery, crawler cranes, tractors, Special Foundation Equipment, and farm machinery,. Especially if users/drivers do not behave as intended, or if safety is not properly guaranteed.
At the same time electronic control systems are responsible of the core functionality in the vehicles, e.g., engine control, braking, and steering; and the functions performed by the vehicles, e.g., buckets, telescopic handlers, or drills. Authorities currently increase the pressure on vehicle manufacturers to comply with safety standards for their electronic systems. The market will increase expectations on products to be certified according to e.g. ISO 13849, 25119, 15998, 12100, IEC 61508, 62061 and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and it will be a competitive advantage to do so.

• Hear about internal functional safety case studies from earth moving machinery,
tractor, loader crane and special foundation equipment manufacturers
• Learn about functional safety innovations and requirements to explore processes
and assessments
• Identify opportunities of safety harmonization among directives, norms and
standards to reduce complexity
• Gain new insight into software safety systems to improve risk assessments
• Find complementary E/E development solutions for earth moving machinery,
tractors, loader cranes, and special foundation equipment
The only international event with a focus on
functional safety and its needed harmonization for
earth moving machinery, tractors, loader cranes,
special foundation equipment and other machinery.
