30. Challenges
• In the beginning of the project, School Support Committee and
Children Council did not understand about their roles and
responsibilities in promoting Safe Schools.
• In the beginning of the project, Task Force and Writing Committee
had limited knowledge on DRR and Safe School concepts lead to
slow down the development of Safe School Initiative.
31. Lessons Learnt
• Times consumed to build the capacity of School Support
Committee, Children Council, Commune Committee for Disaster
Management
• A lot of support made to support Task Force and Writing
Committee established by the MoEYS of RGC to develop Safe
School Initiative
32. Way Forward
• Continue partnership with CRF, and cooperating with MoEYS, and
providing capacity building to them through training, workshop,
mentoring and coaching on DRR and safe school
• Continue technical support to CRF to provide capacity building to
School Support Committee, Children Council, Commune
Committee for Disaster Management in target areas on DRR and
safe school
• Through CRF, support Task Force and Writing Committee to
finalize and launching Safe School Initiative nationwide and
expanding to 72 target schools in 24 provinces/capital using Safe
School Initiative within the next few years for greater impacts
