June 2015
Message from Dinah Snow
President, ICF Colorado
It’s official. Registration is now open for the biggest and most
exciting event put on by ICF Colorado: Dare to THRIVE! on
October 14th at the beautiful Red Rocks Conference Center. We
are bringing you two internationally known dynamic keynote
speakers (to be announced very soon!) and are working on a solid
lineup of breakout session speakers. Past attendees and ICF
Colorado Professional Members can take advantage of limited time
only advance registration pricing between now and June 15th (an
email will be sent to past attendees and Professional Members with
this special rate). To register, visit http://icfcolorado.org/fall-
conference/. Keep in mind that we sold out last year, so secure your
seat now.
Conscious Client Enrollment Training:
Accelerate Sales and THRIVE! You
spoke. We listened. We know you love to
coach yet you find all sorts of reasons to
not sell YOU or your service. That’s why
we’ve teamed up with Liz Wendling, Sales
Coach, to provide you with a hands-on
in-depth training to help you build
competency and confidence in the entire
sales process, without feeling pushy or
salesy. Registration closes June 12: Click
here to sign up.
And WOW, what a fabulous panel of down
to earth, multiple six figure coaches we had last month pulling back
the curtain on how they grew their businesses was priceless! I’m
implementing three specific tips that were shared and am excited to
see new results.
For those of you participating in our Building Your Practice SIG,
you may have noticed how Nancy Chen and presenters are taking a
building blocks approach to helping our members THRIVE. I invite
you to come consistently and implement what you learn to help you

Dare to THRIVE! October 14, 2015 ICF Colorado Fall
Conference
ICF Colorado is all about creating a community of thriving coaches,
and our Fall conference this year is being carefully created to ensure
that every speaker, breakout session and activity contributes to that
goal.
We have once again secured the spectacular Red Rocks Conference
Center as the venue, and this year we also have exclusive access to
the Red Rocks Grill for the event, so meeting rooms will be
exclusively for sessions.
Last year’s conference sold out, and based on the success of that
event, we have been able to attract even more top talent to
educate, motivate and inspire our community!
During the course of this one day conference, you can expect to
learn:
The inner game of building a thriving coaching business that is in
alignment with your WHY.
Practical marketing and strategy how-to’s to attract more clients
and be well paid.
Networking and collaboration skills to help create winning business
partnerships.
And much, much more!
Details are being finalized on the remaining keynote speaker and
breakout session leaders, who are all being evaluated based on their
ability to help conference attendees THRIVE.

Facilitated by: Nancy Chen
*** Back By Popular Demand! ***
TEST YOUR APPROACH TO YOUR TARGET MARKET: FEEDBACK
SESSION
*** For those who received feedback at our last session, please
complete your homework and come ready to pick up where we left
off ***
We will discuss how to design and align our Approach, Framework
and Process to meet the needs of our Target Market.
If you are open to test your ideas with the group and to receive
constructive feedback, come ready to share, from your Business
Plan: Your Company's Target Market, and What Sets Your Company
Apart. In addition, develop a statement of:
1. Your understanding of where the client is now (A) and where they
want to be (B)
2. The Framework -- your theoretical approach -- how you and the
client can best assess and get to the root cause of the gap between
A and B.
3. The Process -- the structure, steps and content that you will
apply in your coaching to help the client get where they want to be.
To support you in this assignment, Review in Guerrilla Marketing for
Coaches, by Levinson and Neitlich, Pages 29-32, "Understand the
Needs in Your Market;" Pages 33-39, "Develop Robust Coaching
Solutions for Your Market;" and Pages 41-49, "Develop Your
Compelling Marketing Message and Brand."
6:35-6:50PM: "Backstage Visit" with Orvel Ray Wilson, CSP
Don't miss this! Our main session guest is an award-winning
professional speaker who co-authored the brilliant Guerrilla
Marketing book series that we have been working with. Orvel Ray

Membership in the ICF Colorado: New Member Sponsors Needed
We now have 9 persons serving as New Member Sponsors, but have 6 new members waiting for a
sponsor. Your help is needed!
As the Membership Director, it is my hope that new members are welcomed into our Chapter and
quickly find a home in our "family." To ensure this happening well, we are starting an experiment
called New Member Sponsors. A new member sponsor is someone who has been in the Chapter for
perhaps a year or more who will help welcome a new member and make sure they become
integrated into the life of the Chapter. For the first few months, the sponsor will befriend the new
member, become acquainted, introduce him or her to others in the Chapter, explain the various
benefits and programs of the Chapter, and perhaps have coffee or lunch with the person.
If you have been a member of our Chapter for a year or more, please consider becoming a New
Member Sponsor. It is a four-month commitment to make friends with someone and ensure that
they become actively involved in the Chapter. You will be provided with some orientation and
suggestions on how to best sponsor someone. Please contact Walt Hastings to express your
interest in welcoming new members. Call Walt at 303-526-9490 or e-mail him at
walthastings@hotmail.com.
Why Join ICF Colorado?
* A community of individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of their clients.
* Connect with other coaches.
* Become engaged in the work of learning together and creating a strong community.
* Receive valuable training each month that you can directly apply to your life or work with clients.

ICF Colorado Membership in the ICF Colorado: New Member Sponsors Needed We now have 9 persons serving as New Member Sponsors, but have 6 new members waiting for a sponsor. Your help is needed! As the Membership Director, it is my hope that new members are welcomed into our Chapter and quickly find a home in our "family." To ensure this happening well, we are starting an experiment called New Member Sponsors. A new member sponsor is someone who has been in the Chapter for perhaps a year or more who will help welcome a new member and make sure they become integrated into the life of the Chapter. For the first few months, the sponsor will befriend the new member, become acquainted, introduce him or her to others in the Chapter, explain the various benefits and programs of the Chapter, and perhaps have coffee or lunch with the person. If you have been a member of our Chapter for a year or more, please consider becoming a New Member Sponsor. It is a four-month commitment to make friends with someone and ensure that they become actively involved in the Chapter. You will be provided with some orientation and suggestions on how to best sponsor someone. Please contact Walt Hastings to express your interest in welcoming new members. Call Walt at 303-526-9490 or e-mail him at walthastings@hotmail.com.
