Intercultural Dialogue was the theme of the IAU 2009
International Conference, held in partnership with Notre
Dame University – Louaize, Lebanon
The Role of Higher Education in Fostering Intercultural
Dialogue and Understanding
IAU collaborated on a number of projects with the Council of Europe (CoE)
- Participated in the CoE conference on: Universities as Actors of
Intercultural Dialogue in the Wider Society.
- IAU and CoE jointly edited the publication Speaking Across Borders: The
Role of Higher Education in Furthering Intercultural Dialogue – Volume 16 of
the CoE Higher Education Series
