-Finished fourth quarter of fiscal year 2016 up 20% in sales over fiscal 2015.

employees, including two assistant managers and two key hourly employees.
-Averaged double digit sales increase throughout tenure by providing and outstanding
guest experience, maintaining consistent staffing levels, and providing quality food in a
clean, inviting atmosphere.
-Implemented key sales promotions such as “Early Bird Specials” and “Holiday
discounts.”
-Voted “Best Breakfast in Columbia” in 2011.
-Organized full remodel of the restaurant, reopening 2 days early to capture weekend
sales.
-Encouraged community involvement with pancake fundraisers for schools.
-Directly responsible for on-going development of assistant managers and key hourly

1997-2009
Owner/Founder of KMG Inc.
KMG started as a janitorial company in the Columbia, SC area, providing daily maintenance for
companies such as: Pulliam Ford, Wray Mazda/Volkswagen, Palmetto Smiles, California
Dreaming, Carolina Wings, D’s Wings, Outback Steakhouse, Bojangles, Applebee’s, Longhorn
Steakhouse, and others. My business grew through unwavering customer service, leadership
and the ability to set and to accomplish goals all while remaining flexible.
In its last five years, KMG evolved into a specialized periodic cleaning company for restaurants
only. National companies such as Darden, UNO Chicago Grill, and Sticky Fingers utilized our
services in 14 different states from Massachusetts to Louisiana.
At its peak, KMG employed 18 people. I was personally responsible for all staffing, training, and
operational responsibilities in the organization. I was responsible for all marketing procedures,
including email, marketing, direct mail campaigns, telecommunication, websites presence,
uniforms and all company literature associated with these activities. All legal responsibilities
including licensing, bonding, as well as KMG's relationship with the unemployment security
office, S.C. department of revenue and the I.R.S. were solely my responsibility. Although KMG
used a payroll company and a CPA for tax purposes, daily accounting and P&L reconciliation
were also part of my responsibility.
3. 1997-2001
Manager – Restaurant 1-2-3
Worked both full and part time at Restaurant 1-2-3 in Columbia, SC while beginning my
business venture with KMG. Restaurant 1-2-3 was a fine dining restaurant in Columbia, SC.
-Received informal education with fine dining food and service standards.
-Managed and trained a staff of approximately 50 employees.
-Developed extensive wine knowledge.
1994-1997
General Manager – Applebee’s
Worked as a general manager for Applebee’s in Columbia, SC.
-Responsible for staffing, training, and overseeing staff performance on a daily basis.
-Responsible for overall sales, profitability, performance, sanitation, and organization of
the restaurant.
-Managed a staff of 80 employees, including three associate managers.
