13. Book Review of The ALCHEMIST
“The Alchemist” is an interesting and inspirational journey. The whole story
revolves around the “Personal Legend”.
The story is all about a journey of physical and spiritual change. The whole
journey tells us to tackle difficulties of our way.
Some barriers stop us to go onward but this story throws light on the
consistency and priorities. These barriers cannot stop us if we are stuck to
pursue our Personal Legend.
The main focus of the story is on the sufferings of the journey and lessons of
sufferings.
14. The story starts with a dream. A shepherd named Santiago has chosen his profession
according to his own liking.
He dreams twice about a treasure lying under the Pyramids of Egypt. And his quest for
finding that treasure becomes a struggle of his life.
One beautiful thing about the novel is its magical language. The language of birds,
winds, and the voices of the heart gives too much aesthetic pleasure.
Book Review of The ALCHEMIST
15. The writer describes the “Language of the World and the Soul of the World” in a very beautiful
manner. Nature is the greatest power but it also has some limitations.
The events are magical. Santiago’s talk with desert, wind and the sun is phenomenally written.
This is the fantasy that tells us that nature is absolutely soulful.
One of the greatest hindrances described in the novel is fear.
The fear of failure stops us to live and get our dreams.
It is a great victory to overcome this fear.

17. Thoughts on The ALCHEMIST
This book is a treasure in itself for me. The Alchemist is a fantastic book and the storytelling
is beautiful.
The book shows that the journey to your destiny is as important as the destiny itself. I think
this book appeals to everyone because we all have dreams and sometimes we just want
someone to tell us that they may come true.
Everyone should read this book at least once in their lifetime. The language is so easy to
understand and the content is amazing.
18. Favorite Quote
from The Alchemist
“There is only one thing that makes a
dream impossible to achieve: the fear of
failure.”
Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
20. To sum up, we can say that “THE ALCHEMIST” is a treasure in itself. It broadens
