laid down a huge emphasis on
the use of applications for
various purposes.
The importance and potential of
these apps has been sky
rocketing since then.

apps in Google Play Store and
Apple’s App Store.

by App Annie’s report, by
2020 the app economy is
estimated to rise to $101
billion which is almost
double its current value.
This massive growth has
struck the event industry
as well and has caused
many changes.
The changing needs and
expectations of event
professionals is the main
reason for such a
redefinition of the event
market.
1 Social Wall
Social walls with activity and
news feed update is a very
sought out event app feature.
Social walls can be integrated
within the app throuugh on
screen feed or via live display
application.
A private social network platform
can be used for for engagement,
discussions and for having
question and answering sessions.
An in app social media will help
retain the attendees.

the event industry.
2 Networking & Matchmaking
According to a research conducted
by Event Manger Blog, the attendee
interaction is profoundly associated
with how we evaluate and engage
with events.
Majority of the apps do not provide a
platform for networking despite it
being an important and in demand
feature.
It is surprising to see the use
of networking and
matchmaking for unusual
purposes like dating but not
for events.
This is a popular demand that
the Event App providers do

Artificial intelligence as we know
