3. INTRODUCTION
John Dewey was an American philosopher,
psychologist, and educational reformer who
emphasized the importance of experience and
experimentation in learning and problem-solving.
He was born in 1859 in Burlington, Vermont, and
died in 1952 in New York City. Throughout his
career, he taught at several universities and wrote
extensively on topics such as education,
democracy, ethics, and aesthetics.

was active, inquisitive and wanted to
explore.He believed that children need to
interact with other people, and work both
alone and cooperatively with their peers and
adults
Invention: His paper ‘’The Reflex Arc concept
