4. ~ Revolution 2020: Love, Corruption, Ambition is a novel by Chetan Bhagat.
~ It was written in 2011 and published on 5 October 2011
~ The novel was originally written in English and contains 296 pages.
~ The story is concerned with a love triangle, corruption and a journey of self-discovery.
~ The author stated that the novel is based on the "rampant corruption" apparent in the Indian educational
system, with the choice of Varanasi as a setting emerging through "a special connection to the city" following
his visit.

~ The background of the novel is set in contemporary corrupt India.
~ Author Chetan Bhagat says the idea of his work 'Revolution 2020' emerged because of the rampant
corruption in the education sector which affects millions of youth.
~ The novel has two major male character, 1) Gopal and 2) Raghav. Gopal is corrupted and Raghav is fighting
against corruption, and the story is about who will win.
~ The theme of corruption unfolds through the story of Gopal’s success in establishing a private engineering
college with the help of politician MLA Shuklaji and failure of Raghav in establishing himself as a successful
journalist.

twenty reached the campus at 8:00 a.m. Sweepers scrubbed the floors
till the last minute. The IT specialist ensured that the desktops in the
computer room worked.

Everyone turned to the inspector who had asked the lathe machine
question, 'You are?" Shrivastava said,
"Mr Bhansali! said the inspector.

questions? Unless you need the promoter,'
"You look young' Bhansali said to me,

'What are your qualifications?5 he said,
1 have built this college,! said, 'and 1 have hired the best faculty!
'But. *! Bhansali said as Shrivastava cut him,
'Lets go, sir. I will answer everything,* Shrivastava said and escorted
them out

influential families can secure admission and preferential treatment for their children.
