2. Researchers at the University of
Copenhagen measured cardiac arrest
response in the city from 1994 to 2011.
During that period, there were 1,864
cardiac arrests in public areas. 30% of
victims collapsed within 100 meters of
an AED. However, of those AEDs, 53.4 %
were inaccessible during evening,
night, and weekend hours.
