electrical cables and portable explosive mixing modules for mine sites. Also hydraulics mechanical

Onslow Salt has a production capacity of around 2.5 million tons a year & provides a steady supply of
salt to major chloral-alkali manufacturers in Japan and other Asian countries. It also supplies salt to
some food processing markets across Asia.
Responsibilities:
I undertook a variety of tasks including maintaining the system of plant structures both old & new,
spare parts, raising work orders, work order planning (parts, resources) & scheduling weekly work.
Also updating stores spare parts & entering to plant structures & search criteria, maintenance
planning of light vehicles, their repairs & servicing with local contracts. Planned major shutdowns for
structural repairs & mobile plant major repairs (earth moving equipment). Supervised workshop
personnel as required. Prepared job safety analysis and how to guides for shutdowns.

Supervised up to ten mobile & fixed plant trades fitters & boilermakers on a four days on &
four days off roster.
Maintained a team approach to work, including managing of job hazard analysis for every
task
Supervised & authorised Safe Work Procedures & training to staff & contractors.
Breakdown maintenance, prioritising & organizing resources and parts. Organizing repairs of
rotatable spares with scopes of work.
Building maintenance, plumbing, concrete works, structural repairs, shutdowns on all
equipment, following site plans & budgets, development of reliability & its implementation.
Supervision of pre-start meetings, planning meetings, communication with suppliers &
management meetings.
