For the 1941 Novel Pulitzer, Advisory Board elected to overrule the jury
and recommended Y by X. However, Columbia University president, ex
officio head of the committee, implored the committee to reconsider,
citing the potential association between the University and the novel's
frank sexual content; instead, no award was given.

X’s publishers had submitted his novel Y for the Z Writer’s Prize,
without asking X. Y won in the Eurasian region, and was to be
considered for the final prize. However, when X came to know of this,
he withdrew Y from consideration, as he took objection to the term
“Z”.
According to X, "So far as I can determine, Y is eligible for the Z Prize
partly because it was written in English and partly because I happen to
belong to a region that was once conquered and ruled by ________

Considering that he is a respected reporter for a long established
broadcast newspaper, it shouldn’t be too surprising to realize that he is
a talented writer.
In fact, he has actually won two Pulitzer prizes. He has even written
two award-winning novels, The Janus Contract and Under a Yellow
Sun.

Written by Y in 1917 when he was only 17 years of age, X has been
adapted many times in Indian cinema, most recently in 2009.
The most famous Hindi adaptations are of 1955, and that of 2002, both

Of the 9 animated features nominated for the 2017 Oscars, surprisingly,

The academy doesn't really hide its considerable favouritism towards
the company Y, so perhaps this snub was not too surprising after all. In
fact, of the 5 animated features from the X’s country of origin that have
