About 100 years, three generation of the Stimpson family had owned this reserve with their great responsibility to maintain the natural integrity of the
forest, steams and ponds. In the year 2000, the seven children of Edward K. and CatharineC. Stimpson donated116 acres of their family’s holdingto
WhatcomLand Trust to conserve forever to share the natureof the gift.
Since the gift is given by WhatcomLand Trust, they has been maintaining this reserve with the great respect to protect ecological community to bring
clean water and support wildlife.
The story of Stimpson Family touchednatural resource departmentsto be a partnership and build this great gift.
