1. HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES
IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND RESEARCH,
PLANNING AND EVALUATION STAGES?
2. ADOBE PREMIER PRO
• When constructing our film the main software that we had used was Adobe Premier
Pro. This software had allowed us to upload all our scenes that we had shot on the
camera onto the media software. After putting everything together Premier Pro
allows you to edit scenes and even add special effects to make our short film even
better than the first draft that we had originally created. For example we was able to
use background sound effects to make the chase scene have more suspense which
keeps the audience at the edge of their seats at all times. Not only this but we had
used slide transitions in order to change scenes so that our scenes did not look like
they was going to change at any random moment.
3. SLIDESHARE
• Slideshare had enabled me to upload my PowerPoints onto the software so that I
could then transfer this onto the blog. Without Slideshare I would not of had a way
to upload my PowerPoints onto my blog. The only alternative way that I could of
done this would be to keep print screening my work however that would of wasted
to much time that I could have been spending working on another task.
4. PIKTOCHART
• Piktochart was used to help create my PowerPoint for my 3rd evaluation question.
Within this website it allows you to create a range of different flyers posters and
leaflets. This website was really useful to use because it had a range of set templates
for you to be able to work with in order for your work to be completed to the best
of its ability. Not only that but within this software you are enabled to input icons to
make your PowerPoint look even better.
5. YOUTUBE
• YouTube is the software that we had to use to upload our movie and bloopers onto
as we felt as if that was the best platform for us to show our movie on. Also within
YouTube you are able to edit the video even further to make sure that our film was
at the highest standard possible.
6. BLOGGER
• Blogger was absolutely essential for us as a group to be able to get a good grade.
This is because after every piece of work that we completed we had to upload it
onto our blogs in order for our practical work to get assessed. If we did not upload
our work on blogger we would not be able to get a good overall grade in our
course.
7. INDESIGN
• Indesign was another key part when trying to complete the production stage. This is
because we had to make our very own magazine feature article on the software in
order to accompany the poster and the film. InDesign is a software that includes
many different editing features that allows you to complete your task to the best
that you can. You are able to insert images, add text and section your magazine into
3 different areas.
8. INTERNET
• When it came to researching about British Social Realism the internet had a big part
to play because without it we would be unable to complete all of our research.
Websites such as Wikipedia was very helpful when doing our research as it give us a
brief summary of British social realism and also let us know about the history of the
genre such as when the first films started to come about. The internet was also
helpful when trying to find out editing techniques on premier pro. This was because
if we was unsure on how to edit something then we would be able to use the
internet to find out how to get it done.
9. CAMERA EQUIPMENT
• Ultimately our film would not be possible to create if we did not use the recording
equipment that we had used. From the DSLR to the tripod to the mic these were all
the components to how our film was made possible. Without the given equipment
we would not be able to shoot our film and we would of failed our course.
