3. Research
My research help my product a lot since I gain knowledge that I applied to my
final products to make it culturally reggae and look good.
• Existing products: There are a variety of different products strongly
relating to my product product such as reggae united which is a reggae
magazine company who makes reggae magazines on reggae artists which
inspiared me to make my magazine cover.
• Strengths: I gained a lot of knowledge that I applied to my product to
make it better. These inclued colours and symbolism, which made my
products 10 times better since I had a better idea of what I needed to do
to make my product great.
4. Planning
Strengths of planning: I could have a slight idea of what I was
going to do for my final product. When going into the final
product, I had a base to build off of.
Weakness of planning: Personally, planning was almost not
important at all for me since I didn't need to plan because I
alread had all my ideas in my head before hand. It also wasted a
lot of time that I could have used for creating.
5. Time Management
Yes and no because there were something on the project that I could do really
quickly, like work on Photoshop oppose to typing even though im fast at
typing, but it took long to type because I have a tendency to write lots
sometimes, which times long periods of time.
Obviously if I had more time to complete my work I would have completed it
with more efficiently. However there was enough time to do the work that
was set, but I think I didn't use my time carefully which resulted in rusting in
some instances and more stress.
6. Technical Qualities
In comparison to other products, it was ironic since it was both different and similar because it had
many origional aspects, like the drawing styleand the overall layout, but many similar themes such as
colours, artits and symbolic features.
My poster is much darker then the other existing product, which is good in some sense because it is
more unique and special. Just because there different doesn't mean that there not representing the
culture and genre, because they are, which is what is great about art because there can be different
styles to representat the same or simialr thing and be aethetically plaesing as well.
Th main difference between my magazine and the
7. Aesthetic QualitiesMy poster was defiantly good since it had many qualities that added to the aesthetic production of my work, such as my
complementary colours I used with the reds and greens, the right balance of brightness, contrast and vibrancy and the
whole cartoon aspect of the work made it pop and look original and beautiful. As for the magazine cover, that also looked
great since I used an overlay that add a very grungy feel to it, which made it look very unique and overall, it made it look
great as well as the titles and the quote I used, which in the end looked very nice.
Both my magazine cover and poster were both creative. However, my Damian Marley poster was ten times more creative
since it was very original and I used an original image of Bob Marley and drew around him so I could turn him into a
cartoon version, which look amazing in the end. In terms of creativity, the reason as to why I said that I don’t think that
the Bob Marley magazine cover was as creative as the poster was because I used an already existing image. I would still
state that it was creative since I used many aspects that made it creative like text, blur, colour, layout, blending modes and
styles in my production.
If I had more time I would improve the overall quality and style of my work, but more specifically, the quality of my work
since I would definitely say that I rushed some of it, especially the magazine cover.
There’s mainly strengths oppose to weaknesses since I efficiently and consistently did my work well.. My magazine
strengths include, aesthetic layout of image, good use of image and text positioning, the old overlay that worked nicely in
correlation to the fact that the person in the image is Bob Marley, who is an old Reggae artist Because Bob Marley is the
most iconic Reggae figure and is seen as a music legend for many, I thought that this was a good touch and a great person
to represent the genre. The strengths of the poster are, the cartoon aspect which makes the work look very unique, the
complementary colours used made the poster comfortable to look at and the overall layout made the magazine cover
look great as well.
The disadvantages of the poster would be that there are some jagged edges which make it less attractive, the text at the
bottom it quite hard to see what it says since it has lowered opacity and that I quality isn’t the highest it could be in terms
of drawing the cartoon, to make it look better. The disadvantages of the Bob Marley magazine cover is that it was rushed
and a s a result, it caused the whole cover to look, not up to my standard and looks a bit empty.
Overall, my products look decent in my opinion, but they could be improved which is good because after all of this I have
learned from my failures and weaknesses and I can now move on, more confident with this area of work.
8. Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target audience by using what they have said in the survey
from Survey Monkey, for example, using 75% image and 25% text oppose to 75
text and 25% image, since that’s what people wanted to see and therefore I will
need to deliver that so it will appeal to the majority and also so that people would
want to buy it as well.
The aesthetic of both my products is another fundamental aspect of as to why
people, more specifically, my audience would want to buy it, since in my Reggae
poster I used vast amounts of complimentary colours to make the viewing of the
image look more beautiful and my magazine cover, which had a great layout
aspect to it which is one of the main reasons as to why it looks so good.
Overall, since most my audience haven't listened to too much Reggae or have
dived into the core of the culture, the main reason as to why there's such
audience appeal, in my opinion, is because of the fact that my products look
interesting, in terms of visually and atmospherically especially since I took the
time to think the whole thing threw.

constructive enough.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
One of the main changes that I would make to my products are detail,
symbolism and originally, most especially in the magazine cover, since I
rushed it. So as a result of this, I would do better planning and research
to make my product more aesthetically pleasing.
More optimistically, thus gathering information, socially, I have, both
statistically and thoughtfully come to a simple conclusion that is that my
magazine cover and poster are positive in terms of products hence there
not being much negative thoughts towards my products.
