Let's say you landed a meeting with a VC or angel investor, youâre attending a startup competition or Demo Day. This is
your chance to "wow" people by putting together a persuasive investor deck design that will raise your company money.

A pitch deck is a short presentation, normally in a PowerPoint format. It's used to provide an overview of your business
plan. Mostly, it's done face-to-face but there are instances where it's presented online.

⢠Thatâs just as true in a presentation too.
⢠Focus on your core message.
⢠Avoid paragraphs of texts, no more than 15 words per slide.
⢠Practice makes perfect! Own the room, showing that you're confident will reflect well.
⢠The fewer bullets and words, the better!
On average, investors spend just over 3 minutes and 30 seconds on a deck. And the slides that get
most of the attention are the financials, the team, and the competition.
