- I want to talk about… Mainly our lab and the projects we are working on in Holographic User Interfaces and Virtual Reality
- We have experience in building successful technology products. Our teams are composed of experts in all the fields requires to build a great and successful tech startup. User Experience, User Testing, Interface Design, Coding, Scalability. If you have an idea for a tech startup talk to us. - We have experience in most of the technologies needed to build a successful tech startup. Our work includes e-learning platform, subscription services, online games, software as a service, multimedia installations, mobile applications.
- Something is happening right now. Most of us can’t see it because it’s hidden in labs, across a lot of disciplines. But we can all sense that innovation is happening faster than ever. When I was 15 I thought that human will split into two civilization. One that will use technology to answer its needs and improve its physical limitation and another one that would be more spiritual and use their mind to master and improve our current limitations. This did not happen yet. We only have one, which is technology. With that think when the cell phone emerged I saw it as our way to use technology to make humans telepath. This is what we do with cell phone, anytime anywhere we can request to connect to anyone anywhere and instantly talk. This answer a deep human need for human connexion With smartphone we added the entire internet into it. Its still answering or same need of connexion, for sharing emotions and instant communication.
- We love them, Do you ever feel you spend to much time on your phone or computer ? Do you want more human connection and physical activities ? I am going to try to give you a glimpse of a possible future where you will still be as productive and connected as you are now In that future your will not have a smartphone or laptop. A new technology convergence is happening, To get an idea of what it is lets go back to the last convergence in 2007.
- 8 years ago we had a similar convergence of technology. Innovation in touch screen, Cellular data and User Interface design converged and with the genius of Steve Job this technology convergence gave birth to the iPhone.
- Now in 2016 we are seeing a new convergence is happening. Augmented and Virtual Reality: Making virtual creation feel like a reality. Internet of things: Everything will be interconnected. Watch, glasses, speaker, thermostat… Coffee machine, indoor plants, fridge…. Artificial Intelligence: Machine are starting to understand us: Language (siri, alexa, ok google, facebook M), images (google photo) soon
- Today the internet is in your phone or laptop, tomorrow it will be all around you. Only a few examples: Watch: Apple, pebble, google Glasses: ReconJet, Google Glasses, Pivothead, Speakers: Echo / Alexa Thermostat: Nest Button: Dash, Flic Today: Watch, glasses, speakers, thermostats, button Coming soon: Coffee machine, plants soil, shirt, Barbie Players: Intel, Microsoft, Arduino (Makers)
- AI after decades of false promesses is finally delivery results. Thanks to new learning machines and neural networks technologies. Convert our voice into text language: Siri, echo, google now, facebook M Images: Google photo Deep learning Today: Voice, images Soon: Write articles, drive cars Players: Google. - My favorite subject. Today we have Virtual reality ready. Immersing human in virtual world and making it feel real. Gaming, entertainment, industrial learning. Preemptive motion, realtime rendering, 3D cameras, slam, lightfield, Today: Oculus, Google Cardboard, GearVR Soon: Hololens, ODG, Sulon, Cast AR Players: Facebook, Microsoft, Sony, Magic Leap
- We do not what exact product will be, but i can describe to you an example of experience of what that product will do. //Our physical world will merge with the virtual Today we are spending most of our time on our smartphones and laptops. In a near future we will not be limited to a small 2D flat screens. Who is using or as used Yelp or Foursquare to find a restaurant or bar. Now lets imagine that same experience with AR, IoT and AI. You are in the streets, in the evening and your are looking forward to enjoy a nice dinner. Your personal AI would check where you are, the current weather, the time and how you feel from you watch heartbeat and smartshirt breathing sensors. Cross referencing your previous tastes, bank account balance and habits the AI will tel you (voice) less than an handfull of places that you will enjoy. Your augmented glasses will display in 3D visual pointers to where the restaurant are, their wait time and the best route to get there. At the restaurant, no more paper menu you will just look at the plate and virtual but realistic versions of the different meal available. Its likely that some of the smell will be there with the full nutrition fact and time to cook. The waiter will present you suggestions, answer your questions and validate your order.
- The next evolution….. The machines will integrate with our physical world, we will interact with them naturally, they will let us move again. Humans are design to be moving not stuck behind a screen and keyboard. We will be more connected and live much more immersive experience. ??The real and virtual world will eventually blur.?? ----------------------------- We are in the process of better integrating the machines in our lives. They are here to increase or productivity, entertain us and improve our social connexions. If everything align it will mark the start of a new Era for how humans will interact with the machines. Our cellphones, laptop, desktop computers will slowly disappear and will be replaced by more human like interactions. This is the future we see and the future we want.
- The possibility that the new technologies are bringing are endless, we can’t comprehend yet all the possibilities. Its like a blank canvas. Its now for us to define the future of how we will interact with technology, the internet and each other. We now have a chance to make it more human.
- I strongly feel this is a possible future. Instead of waiting for it to happen we started the HTMLFusion LAB to actively build and participate in creating that future. Our Main lab project is Holo UI, its a series of experiment on best practices for creating User Interfaces with Holograms
- For example this experiment was on curating the information a user would see in a fully augmented world.
