                          1. To mark the end of a sentence:
When do you use me?       e.g. There are five lessons in a school day   .
                          2. To show an acronym:

1. At the end of a direct question:                           mark.
e.g. “Where did you have your lunch today?”

1. To show strong feelings:
Hi, I am the exclamation   e.g. “I can’t believe it!”

                           2. At the end of a command:
 When do you use me?       e.g. “Stop it now!”




 1. To separate a list:
 e.g. We will need hammers, nails and a saw.
 2. To break up longer phrases:
 e.g. When he saw the pirate ship on the horizon, the captain gave the alarm.
 3. To separate extra information that is added:
 e.g. The man, who was wearing a blue hat, slid silently into the room.
 4. To separate introductory words and phrases from the main clause:
 e.g. Suddenly, he stood up.
 5. To break up groups of numbers:                              Hi, I am the comma.
 e.g. 1, 999, 999.
