1. COLLAGE MAKING CONTEST
Rules and Guidelines
1. Each section may send only one (1) official team into the contest. The team shall
be composed of a pair of students who shall work together in making their
collage entry.
2. Only the two (2) team members are allowed to touch and work with the
materials when the official contest time has started.
3. The members of the team are responsible for bringing all the materials they
need in the contest such as, but not limited to, illustration board, glue, glue
stick, glue gun, stapler, tapes, magazines, newspapers, photos, natural objects
and others. Should the contestants need electrical devices in preparing their
collage, they have to bring their own extension wires and look for an outlet they
may use.
4. The organizers shall not provide any material to the contestants before, during
and after their contest.
5. Each team shall bring all their materials into the contest venue on the date and
time of the competition. They shall only start preparing their entry during the
official contest time.
6. The contestants will be given three (3) hours to prepare their collage.
7. Contestants who report late into the contest venue shall still be allowed to make
their collage but will not be given time extensions. Their working time shall
expire with the end of the official working three-hour time.
8. The collage shall be mounted on a one whole illustration board.
9. After the collage entries are prepared, these will be exhibited by hanging them
on the wall. Contestant should make sure that their collage will not fall apart
when hang for display.
10.Contestant are not allowed to use fire and dangerous chemicals in the
preparation of their collages.
11.The collage shall revolve around a theme: Thank you Teacher!
12.Should the contestants use a photo of any teacher, be it readily in print or
downloaded from any online public domain, the students should seek
permission from the teachers appearing on the photo. Any complaints arising
from the misuse or unauthorized usage of photos shall subject the contestants
to disqualification.
2. 13.Violation of any of the above rules may lead to disqualification.
14.The entries shall be judged based on the following criteria:
Message/Content 25
Visual Impact 25
Creativity 20
Coherence of elements 10
Quality of elements 10
Neatness 10
TOTAL 100
15.The decision of the board of judges shall be final and irrevocable.
