Milena Glimbovski, Original Unverpackt: "Unpackaged Shopping." Milena Glimbovski is managing director of Original Unverpackt. She and her business partner Sara Wolf have been working on the realisation of Original Unverpackt since 2012 – the first one-way packaging free supermarkt chain. 2013 she has been awarded as Kreativpilotin by the Federal Ministry of Economy and since 2013 Original Unverpackt is part of the Social Impact Lab Berlin. In the past years everything has been rethought, except one thing - grocery shopping. It's time for a change. Apart from Original Unverpackt, the first supermarket chain without one-way packaging in Germany, there are many other new sustainable concepts. Most of them still small, but they are becoming more and more mainstream. These concepts promise an environmental friendly and pleasant shopping experience. This talk will provide you with an overview of these different concepts. Original Unverpackt will be a supermarkt who renounces annoying and unnecessary one-way packaging. No packaging waste after your shopping, means no trash to carry outside. No more wasting of groceries, because you bought too much again.
